However, as a major producer of electrical instruments and meters, although the export volume of China's instrument and meter products has been increasing year by year and the export regions have been continuously expanding. However, on the whole, there is still a certain gap compared with the advanced level abroad, mainly manifested in: insufficient investment in scientific research and low independent innovation capacity; There is still room for improvement in aspects such as manufacturing technology, material quality, core chip technology, the intensification and concentration of production, and installation size standards.

According to insiders, at present, most of the electrical instrument and meter manufacturing enterprises in China only focus on product research and development while neglecting the development of production line technology. Some enterprises also invest more in product technology rather than production line technology, resulting in insufficient investment in hardware equipment. As a result, the level of automated production in enterprises is not high, making it difficult to ensure the consistency of products.

According to experts, the quality of raw materials used in the production of electrical instruments and meters in our country also lags significantly behind that of advanced countries. For instance, magnetic push bearings and damping magnets of induction energy meters, etc. The quality of these components themselves determines the service life of electrical instruments and meters. Their insulation performance, the heat resistance and flame retardancy of the shell are the key factors to ensure the quality of the instruments and meters.

In addition, China's independent development capacity for the core technology of electrical instruments and meters - measurement chips - is insufficient, and there is a lack of innovation with independent intellectual property rights.
